The Minnesota Department of Agriculture confirms Palmer amaranth has been found in a field in Polk County. Several dead Palmer amaranth plants were found on the field’s edge from last year, suggesting the plants grew and matured. According to the MDA, the landowner is working with the agriculture department to eradicate any weeds going forward. MDA believes the issue is isolated to only one field and they’ll continue to monitor the area. Read more.
