Ceres Global Ag plans to build a $350 million canola crush plant near the U.S.-Canadian border in Northgate, Saskatchewan. The Minneapolis-based company plans to have the facility up and running in 2024. The plant will crush up to 1.1 million tons of canola each year and produce 500,000 tons of canola oil. Ceres officials said they plan to source two-thirds of their canola from Canada and the remaining one-third from North Dakota.
