A new tax credit is being proposed in a climate change proposal from Senate Democrats. The clean fuel tax credit would replace tax incentives that are now in place for biodiesel and advanced biofuels. Under this plan, corn-based ethanol and electric vehicles would also be eligible for the tax credit.
