Beef cow slaughter has ramped up in recent weeks. “If you have forced liquidation with pairs, bred cows or replacement heifers, make sure to call your market as far in advance as you can because they’re holding special sales,” said Tim Petry, livestock economist, NDSU Extension. “If you contact them, they can advertise them and make sure there are buyers there.”
