Lawmakers are expected to wrap up the North Dakota legislative session early this week. A compromise has been made on a tile drainage bill. Landowners are exempt from reporting if the project is less than 80 acres in size and all of the water stays on the farmer’s land. This new rule will be reviewed in 2023. House and Senate conferees met over the weekend on the budget bill for NDSU Extension and research programs.
