In the Lakota, North Dakota area, Huso Crop Consulting owner Mark Huso says the drier conditions aren’t influencing major fieldwork decisions yet. “If we are still in this arid, dry scenario after Easter, farmers may make some changes. There may be more no-till air drills putting on some fertilizer. Right now, plans are to move forward as anticipated.” Huso says farmers would appreciate good, timely rains this spring. “We haven’t been used to the dry scenario for awhile. It’s been wet the last few years. We’re ok with the the situation, but farmers would appreciate timely rains.”
