For the week ending March 8th, the average U.S. diesel fuel price increased seven cents to $3.14 per gallon. That’s the first time diesel prices topped $3 per gallon since January of 2020. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says the bump in diesel fuel prices is due to higher crude oil prices and disruptions to the supply chain.
