As expected, the House passed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan on a vote of 220 to 211. No Republicans voted in favor of the bill. This latest COVID-19 relief bill includes $1,400 in direct payments to qualifying Americans, more state and federal assistance and also extends federal unemployment benefits.
