Mary Buschette has a lifelong relationship with the FFA. From the chapter and district level, Buschette became a state officer in 1984-1985. Buschette later took advantage of the FFA’s Work Experience Abroad program working a dairy farm in Germany for six months. That was followed by two years of backpacking around the world. “I started in New Zealand for one month and a half and Australia for two months. I got to connect with the Future Farmers of Thailand and went onto backpack for a month and a half throughout China. I took the Trans-Siberian Railway across Russia to Hungary and back through Europe.” Buschette used the experience and worked for an international exchange program called MAST for six years. Since that time, she has served as the CFANS director of alumni relations for the University of Minnesota. “FFA is really the fabric of my life.” Hear the interview.
