COVID took its toll on the meatpacking industry nearly one year ago. Minnesota Pork Producers Association/Minnesota Pork Board CEO David Preisler says the sector is now doing well. “Once they figured out what was needed from a personal protective equipment standpoint and the overall human side of this, the end result is very few outbreaks after the initial cases. Unfortunately, we were first, but the learning that came from that really served those businesses well.” The MPPA and MPB hosted virtual meetings on Thursday.
