Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue’s time at USDA will come to an end in a matter of days. The former Georgia governor gave his farewell address to the American Farm Bureau Convention Tuesday night. “I made it my goal to leave USDA better than I found it and to have the most efficient, effective and customer-focused agency in the federal government. I sure hope we lived up to that mission in your eyes.” Perdue said it has been “a true honor” to serve American agriculture over the past four years.
