North Dakota State Representative Mike Brandenburg says an effort to bring more wind power to North Dakota may impact a proposed soy crush facility and ethanol production. “Xcel and Great River (Energy) are looking at moving the DC inverter into LaMoure and Stutsman counties, building wind towers. If they can’t build, there will be no soybean plant and the biodiesel plant could be at risk. I think it’s time for agriculture to get informed. We can’t wait until the end of the state legislative session to let something pass that runs the industries out.”
