Conab, Brazil’s crop supply agency, expects Brazilian farmers to harvest a record 265.89 million tonnes of grain in the 20/21 crop year. The estimate is down 3.5 percent from its November estimate. Conab estimates an increase in planted area from last year. The agency cut its 20/21 soybean crop estimate from 134.9 million tonnes in November, well above last year’s record 124.8 million tonne crop. Total corn production in Brazil is estimated at 102.58 million tonnes, down from the November estimate of 104.89 million tonnes.
