Farm groups are congratulating former U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack for his nomination to lead the USDA. The National Pork Producers Council said they look forward to working with Vilsack to expand exports, strengthen biosecurity and ensure other foreign animal diseases remain outside of the country. The National Corn Growers Association said they appreciate Vilsack’s commitment to agriculture, renewable fuels and the environment.
