In retaliation for illegal subsidies for Boeing, the European Union is imposing a 25 percent duty on $4 billion worth of U.S. products. According to U.S. Wheat Associates, spring wheat will no longer be competitive for the European market. The EU typically imports about 300,000 metric tons of hard red spring wheat.
