The Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance, a group representing farmers, the food sector, state governments and others, have put together guidelines for federal climate policy development. The more than 40 recommendations focus on voluntary, incentive-based tools for farmers to maximize carbon sequestration, establish policies to foster the development of private sector markets for greenhouse gas credits and enhance existing USDA conservation programs.
