From October to November, North Dakota suffered the biggest decline nationwide in corn yields. North Dakota corn yields are forecast 145 bushels per acre, down from 160 bushels per acre from one month ago. Minnesota corn yields were left unchanged at 202 bushels per acre; South Dakota is forecast at a record high 165 bushels per acre. This year’s corn production is down 37 percent from last year in North Dakota; up 22 percent in Minnesota and up 35 percent in South Dakota.
