Valley United Co-op General Manager Paul Coppin expects soybean harvest to wrap up soon in the Reynolds, North Dakota area. “We’re probably 80 to 90 percent done with soybeans here. We’ve had such a perfect fall here compared to previous years and we’re pinching ourselves saying can this be happening this fast? Full blown corn harvest isn’t far away.” The soybean yield reports are close to average. “In the spring, we got heavy rains early, cutting yields back. The frost we got a few weeks ago took the top end. It’s average yields for the soybeans, but with the prices, farmers are satisfied.”
