More than $1.95 billion of the $13 billion available for Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2.0 was paid out in the program’s first two weeks. According to the USDA, 649 applications are approved for North Dakota as of October 6 with payments totaling more than $15.6 million. For Minnesota, 4,680 applications have been approved with payments at more than $145 million. In South Dakota, more than 3,400 applications are approved with more than $93 million paid. Across the U.S., acreage-based commodities have received the most payments, followed by dairy and livestock.
