KWS has received a patent for a novel Cercospora tolerance trait in sugarbeets. This trait was developed with classic breeding methods. KWS is the parent company for Betaseed and Crystal sugarbeet brands, but the trait may be licensed to other companies. This trait will be available for the 2021 growing season.
