Langdon, North Dakota farmer Brian Kakela has had the combine parked for almost two weeks. “We had some big rains in July and it was a little dry towards the end. Overall, the (wheat and canola) crops were a little above average for us.” Kakela has already put a good dent into his fall fieldwork. “It’s working relatively nice, but a little rain wouldn’t hurt. I know the guys with beans don’t want to hear that, but it would make tillage go better.”
