American Crystal Sugar Company started pre-pile harvest last Tuesday. General Agronomist Joe Hastings says the rains caused some disruptions, but he would like to have three to four days supply on the ground. “We may shut down a bit for heat so we don’t process too warm of beets and we’ll be communicating more details with our growers.”
