Nebraska-based custom forage harvester Glen Jantzen and his crew are in Arkansas chopping silage. “It’s an average crop here and it’s been dry. They’ve been short on rain for a few weeks, but it looks good.” Jantzen says silage cutting is picking up as the corn matures. “Harvest in Texas has been going since mid-July, Kansas is going and Nebraska is picking up.”
