The attorneys general from North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and eight other states are calling for a federal investigation into the beef market. With four companies controlling 80 percent of U.S. beef processing, the state officials said the beef market lacks “full and fair competition.” In a letter to Attorney General William Barr, the AGs said market manipulation should be addressed.
