South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem spoke with President Donald Trump Thursday. There was also a conversation with Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue “about our pork producers and about getting our plants back on line in South Dakota.” That conversation was followed by a call with Smithfield officials. “We’re hopeful that in a matter of days that we can start to see activity back in that plant.”
