Golden Harvest Soybean Product Manager Stephanie Porter reminds farmers to make sure conditions are right before putting soybean seed in the ground. “Make sure the soil isn’t too wet. We’re going to have a long enough planting window to wait for the right time to plant.” Porter says there are some good seed treatments available for soybeans this year. “We consider our soybeans at Golden Harvest a packaged deal with the Syngenta seed treatment,” says Porter. “The hottest topic is Saltro. This is a new seed treatment coming on the scene to help producers provide control against Sudden Death Syndrome, which can be an issue with early season soybeans.” Listen to the story.
