Midwest Market Solutions president Brian Hoops expects soybean acres could increase before spring. “We have too much corn ending stocks on hand versus soybeans even though it’s not a tight number, it’s enough where we could want more flexibility.” Hoops says it will take a significant price bump to buy acres from corn. “We may need to see a 40 to 60 cent rally going into spring.”
