A federal judge in Missouri will allow BASF to argue that it should not be liable for any of the $250 million in punitive damages awarded in the recent dicamba lawsuit. A week ago, a federal jury ruled in favor of a Missouri peach farmer for damages from dicamba drift. Bayer, which now owns the Monsanto portfolio, and BASF were named in the suit.
