The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service is proposing a reapportionment to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board. With the analysis of cattle inventories, the size of the board would expand from 99 seats to 101. Nebraska, Texas and Wisconsin would gain a seat on the beef checkoff board. Seats will be lost from the southeastern United States. A 60-day comment period is in place.
