The latest Cattle on Feed Report was mostly in-line with expectations. The USDA report says there are 12.0 million cattle on feed for slaughter as of December 1, a two percent increase from one year ago. Placements in feedlots during November were more than expected, up five percent from 2018 and totaling 2.09 million head. Marketings of fed cattle were up three percent from the previous year at 1.81 million head. Disappearance totaled 65,000 head, 19 percent less than last year.
