In the Environmental Protection Agency’s final 2020 Renewable Volume Obligations, there’s a slight increase in cellulosic biofuel volumes. Conventional biofuels, like corn ethanol, are maintained at the 15-billion-gallon target in 2020. Biomass-based diesel are the same in 2020 and 2021 at 2.43 billion gallons. In a statement, EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler says the EPA is delivering on President Trump’s commitment to expand biofuels, ensuring a net 15 billion gallons of conventional biofuel blended in 2020.
