Immediate past president of the North Dakota Grain Growers Association (NDGGA) Jeff Mertz says the organization has had very good access keeping North Dakota wheat grower priorities in front of lawmakers. “We were part of the National Association of Wheat Growers and welt like what we needed to get done wasn’t a priority on their side so we left,” he says. “It’s a new beginning. We’re grateful for the access that’s been granted for our priorities.” The NDGGA now has their own lobbyist, Jim Callan Associates.
