The fall run of cattle is starting to heat up at Northern Plains auction barns. Stockmen’s Livestock Exchange at Dickinson, North Dakota had over 4,400 head at Thursday’s sale. The 600 to 700-pound steers sold for $140-to-$153 per hundredweight. The 500 to 600-pound steers at Napoleon Livestock Auction ran $143-to-$156 per hundredweight with 4,400 head of cattle selling. Mobridge Livestock Exchange sold over 5,900 head sell, with 600 to 700-pound steers bringing $141-to-$156 dollars per hundredweight. The Thursday sale at Mitchell Livestock Auction featured just shy of 3,000 head. The 500 to 600 pounds steers sold for $157-to-$167 per hundredweight.
