During its Future of Farming Dialogue in Monheim, Germany, Bayer made a commitment to a more sustainable food system. By the year 2030, Bayer pledges to reduce the environmental impact of crop production by 30 percent by developing new technologies that reduce the amount of crop protection products. Secondly, the goal is to reduce field greenhouse gas emissions in the regions Bayer serves by 30 percent and thirdly, empower 100 million small-scale farmers in developing countries. Bayer officials also cited 75 projects in its seed and traits, crop protection and digital agriculture pipelines.
