South Dakota has received approval for a second round of federal disaster aid. The additional dollars will help local government entities repair property damages. Continued heavy rainfall and persistent flooding were sighted as reasons for the second round of funding. Preliminary damages in South Dakota were estimated at over $8 million to public infrastructure in 25 counties.
