In a Farmers for Free Trade rally on Thursday, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson said the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement could come up for a vote in the House in the next two months. “The (House) Speaker is working hard to build support in our caucus to bring this to the floor. I think we’re on track, at least at this point.” National Association of Wheat Growers president Ben Scholz told rally attendees the agreement takes an important step toward fixing the Canadian grain grading system and Congressional leaders, along with the Trump administration, need to find a path forward for the USMCA this year.
