There is still some late feeding of thistle caterpillars and green cloverworms in soybeans and dry edible beans. According to the NDSU Extension Crop and Pest Report, field reports have come in from the Red River Valley around Fargo, north to St. Thomas, North Dakota and east to Park Rapids, Minnesota. Threshold levels for foliage-feedings caterpillars is 20 percent defoliation in soybeans and 25 to 30 percent in dry beans.
