A federal appeals court has dismissed a lawsuit by the Humane Society of the United States against the National Pork Producers Council. The activist group challenged the National Pork Board’s 2006 purchase of the ‘Pork: The Other White Meat’ trademark from the NPPC. NPPC President David Herring called this ruling “a win for American pork producers.”
