The Fibrominn power plant at Benson, Minnesota is being demolished. This facility was built in 2007 and used turkey manure and other biomass to make electricity. Xcel Energy decommissioned the plant two years ago. A portion of the plant was brought down over the weekend and the boiler house and smoke stack are scheduled for demolition on Wednesday.
