The latest Purdue University CME Group Ag Economy Barometer jumped to a reading of 153 in July. That’s an increase of 27 points compared to June. July is second consecutive monthly increase in the barometer. Purdue University agricultural economists say the big driver of the overall sentiment improvement was producers’ improved perspective on current conditions, which rose 44 points. The nationwide survey of 400 farmers was conducted between July 15 and July 19. Read more on the latest barometer.
