Archer Daniels Midland is reporting second-quarter earnings of $235 million, down 58 percent from one year ago. ADM CEO Juan Luciano says the trade war and the tough spring weather conditions had an impact of about $65 million to the company’s operating profits. “For the first half of this year, we faced wide-spread external headwinds. We have undertook a series of actions that will help deliver a stronger second half of the year and set us up well for 2020.”
