The latest USDA supply/demand report came out last week. In episode 18 of Rural Perspectives, AgCountry Farm Credit Services Market Education Specialist Katie Miller says there is a lot of hesitancy within the market because of the uncertainty with this very unusual year. “The closest comparable year is probably 1995, which is 24 years ago,” says Miller. “How do you compare that to today’s genetics? There is just a lot of uncertainty on how the crop responds to this. It’s tough to measure yield because crop conditions don’t necessary reflect that directly.” Hear more in this edition of Rural Perspectives.
