The nation’s largest family-owned seed company has established its first official location in Minnesota. Beck’s, which is based in Indiana, has a new facility in Olivia, Minnesota that will handle corn breeding and research, sales support and warehousing. The Olivia corn-breeding team has 30,000 plots this year. That will grow to 90,000 plots in 2021. Beck’s is also partnering with a French seed company, RAGT, to develop genetics in the 90-to-105 day maturity.
