There are surprises everywhere in Friday’s acreage report, especially for corn and soybeans. Brock Associates President Richard Brock is having a hard time rationalizing how USDA came up with some of the numbers. “None of this makes any sense, but this is only June 28. We have a lot of growing season to go through. On Monday, we’ll have a completely different market.” Brock says the grain trade will be back to crop progress and weather conditions come Monday.
