If Congress does not ratify the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement before the 2020 election cycle, it may be difficult to finalize other trade deals with the European Union and Japan. American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall made that point in an interview with Reuters. Duvall said U.S. farmers could be in line for the third year of limited exports and a third round of trade assistance may be necessary next year.
