Planting is still hit or miss in South Dakota. Near Ethan, farmer Lewis Bainbridge got some of the crop planted. The rest of his ground is enrolled in prevent plant. South of Ethan about 20 miles, farmers haven’t been able to get last year’s crop out of the ground. Bainbridge says they’ve made no planting progress.
