The University of Minnesota has released a new hard red spring wheat variety called MN-Washburn. This variety features consistent yield, superior straw strength and good overall disease resistance. MN-Washburn is the first hard red spring wheat variety to contain the resistance gene for Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus.
