The USDA’s new agricultural policy committee features some familiar names. That list includes National Cattlemen’s Beef Association past president Kevin Kester, National Farmers Union senior vice president Rob Larew, National Milk Producers Federation President/CEO Jim Mulhern, U.S. Wheat Associates President Vince Peterson, former National Association of Wheat Growers president Gordon Stoner and former National Pork Producers Council president Randy Spronk. The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service advisory committee for animals and animal products include NCBA director of international trade Kent Bacus, South Dakota State Veterinarian Dustin Oedekoven and American Sheep Industry Association policy director Chase Adams. Members of the advisory committee for grains, feed and oilseeds include U.S. Dry Bean Council executive director Rebecca Bratter, North Dakota Wheat Commission administrator Neal Fisher, Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish, U.S. Soybean Export Council CEO James Sutter and National Association of Wheat Growers CEO Chandler Goule. The trade advisory committee overseeing sweeteners features American Sugarbeet Growers Association executive vice president Luther Markwart and American Crystal Sugar Company vice president of government affairs Kevin Price.
