The North Dakota Legislature adjourned Friday night with a budget of nearly $15 billion. That represents a 12 percent increase in general fund spending from 2017. After recent cuts, the NDSU Extension and research budget includes a bump in the salary and benefit package. The private property rights bill was being debated right up until the end of session, but died with a House vote of 44-48.
