North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has signed legislation that makes a change to the state’s corporate farming laws. With the new law, second cousins are allowed to be part of a family farm corporation. A family in Grand Forks County brought the issue to light when it faced the likelihood of dissolving the farm when second cousins wanted to join the business.
